EV charging station setup: common questions

What does it take to set up an EV charging station?

A suitable site, enough electrical supply for the chargers you want, the right equipment for your vehicle types, the required approvals, and a plan for running the station day to day. SHRDR TECH helps with each of these.

How much does it cost to set up an EV charging station?

It depends mainly on how many chargers you want, whether they are slower AC chargers or faster DC chargers, and whether your existing power supply needs upgrading. We don't quote a number without seeing the site. After the site assessment you get a clear estimate in writing.

How much space do I need?

Two-wheeler charging needs far less space than cars, and buses and trucks need room to enter, charge and leave. The site visit tells us what your space can support.

Do I need any approvals?

Most stations need a suitable electricity connection from the local power utility (BESCOM in Bengaluru), and other requirements vary from site to site. We map out what applies to yours and coordinate the paperwork.

Can I run the station myself?

Yes. The aim is for you to own and run your station. After handover we stay reachable for anything tricky.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Bengaluru and work with landowners, businesses and fleets across Karnataka.

How do I get started?

Send us a message on the contact page with your location and the vehicles you want to serve, and we will take it from there.
